This morning, as usual I went down to the college's cafe to scour for food.
There's a baby girl, very small and frail looking on the owner's table. Covered. Such sweet thing was given to the owner last night at 1 am.
The mother seems distraught (from the story told by the cafe's owner) since she is disown by her own family, unmarried and 17. The father; not as norm, had stayed through the difficulties. The father's family had taken care of the mother for the past two weeks.
Yet, maybe because of their age limitation that they can't raise the girl. Sent her away to be raised by someone else. Good that it's not given to the welfare home...yet the grandparents agreed to this.
Things had happened, the unwed parents CAN get married despite the shameful circumstances. The girl CAN stay with her parents. The girl CAN have a real family. Only if the parents CAN have the supports. The mother had excellent SPM results, she CAN continue her studies, she CAN have a good future.
I can only see the CAN for this two weeks old girl
The decisions made by the grandparents...it's just too cruel. Everybody needs a family...everybody needs a family.
